I'm calling all skilled artists out there!

I'm sure you're all aware of this?

Marvel's CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR - Re:LOGO by MrSteiners

If you've followed me on Tumblr and Twitter, you'd know I'm mega-hyped for this film. I love the idea of two of my favorite Marvel heroes going toe-to-toe in a really dramatic way. So much, that I had a few ideas to share my hype in an entertaining way. I need help though.

I'm planning on hosting a collection of "propaganda posters" for EACH of the sides. As you likely know, The Civil War Storyline focuses on the conflict between Captain America and Iron Man after the Ultron incident: Should the government regulate the activity and possibly even lives of superheroes?

Iron Man is pro-security. Captain America is pro-freedom.

Classic conflict.

During the original storyline, many of the heroes had to pick sides and fight each other with propaganda. This gives me an idea that might be fun for all of us and would be a good exercise for some aspiring artists out there.

What I want people to do is illustrate a few propaganda pieces for each side. You can take inspiration from anything. World War II-times, Political Cartoons, go meme-like, it doesn't matter as long as the quality and heart is there. I'll collect as many of your entries as possible.

You can go as far as you want. Here's a few example prompts:

WWII Propaganda Poster. Iron Man is holding an American Flag looking off looking boldly off into the distance. Lots of bright and warm colors. The Captain below reads, "The TRUE Patriot, for a safer tomorrow."

Political Cartoon. Captain America is reaching out to help someone, but he's held back by chains. The chains are being held by a caricature of Tony Stark with a sash over his shoulder reading "government safety." Captain America is saying "I can't help!"

A basic meme:

I've created a group that will collect all of the art right here. Please do not send it to me, but send it to the group.

Now, I'm going to make this clear again: I want propaganda for BOTH SIDES. By all means, show your support for your preferred hero, but this is in no way intended to favor one side over the other.

If you don't happen to be able to draw, but know an artist that might want to, direct them here!

Now remember, this is all in good fun, and I look forward to seeing what you all come up with!

Watched this film, felt bittersweet. While I agree fully that one must answer for ones actions (from say a court) it doesn't help when you got a guy who before would have been all against it but suffering one HELL of a guilt trip over his lack of transparency/integrity/judgment and a guy who is so self-righteous and morally absolute in his convictions.

We all must answer for our mistakes and actions.

Sad thing was I got the impression that the Captain was in the first moments listening and willing. Though they didn't get into detail on it I recon there would have been an "instant action" clause like when the US got Bin Laden or the ANZAC's in East Timor when they stopped a real civil war from starting in 2006.
